Ricardo ... very possibly, my favorite shot in your portfolio! So much to like here. Wonderful face and eyes. The bit of color from from the child's teeshirt. Nicely placed hand. The great smile. Great work!

Hello Ricardo.

I don't know how I missed this one, it is clearly one of the best in your folder to date!

Everything about it is perfect - pose, exposure, focus point, composition....I even love his contempory clothing showing through the traditional garb - for me this adds important temporal ubiety, which gives your image meaning!

7/7

Kind regards, Nick.

Hi, Nick! Good to hear from you again, you've been missing for quite a while!

Thanks for your comment. This has indeed been my most successful photo in PN so far (it was Nr 1 in the TRP during three consecutive days!), even though I always felt somewhat uncomfortable about the modern clothing showing beneath the tunic, which does not seem to disturb anybody else. Of the bedouins we met during this trip, these (the boy's father and mother are both in this same folder) were the ones living closest to 'civilization', and all men (but not the women, that I could see) wore this mixture of garments, which made some of them look shabbier than others we later met who didn't ...

Fond regards, and welcome back!
