Nice pan. Although a little dark. One thing that might help is shadow/highlight tool in PS-CS where you might be able to bring out a bit more detail in the shadow areas and balance the image some more.

Thanks Norman! I saw your Canada photos and they spectacular!

I agree it's a little dark. I did use Shadow/Highlight tool in this one :) the thing is that this shot was taken at ISO200 which in my camera produces a lot of noise. If I lighten it up more the noise would start to show up really ugly. Also, the sun was getting in/out of the clouds so I guess this one was when there was less light in the track, should have increased the exposure. It's really difficult to take these kind of shots, a fact that people giving 2s and 3s don't realize I guess.

Thanks for your critique Norman.

The people who give these types of images 2's are the same that give the 7's to the flowers and photos of pets. They don't have the passion for nor understand the sport we are trying to capture let alone what we have to do to get these images. Don't let it get you down and keep posting! ;)

I totally agree with your comments about poor raters but come-on, I know you can leave frederico some well deserved ratings. Whoops, I think, perhaps, you forgot.

Good sharp photo considering his speed. I might have tried some with a little slower shutter speed to see if I could still pan a clear photo with more motion blur on the stands and crowd(?). The colours of the Renault stand out nice and strong against the saftey barrier. 6/6. I'm glad you liked my recent photo's of Red Bull's Sea Vixen. Thank's for looking.

Would I forget to give another F1 photographer a rating? I rated the image in the rate recent so it's there but anonymous. :P

Thanks for your suggestion Steve, I'll definitelly try slower on my next race, hopefully it's going to be another F1 race!
