wjmertens 0 Posted June 27, 2005 Thanks for the image. I know the spot and have stood there more than once myself but never in winter, so I've never seen it the way you show it here. I like the depiction very much. I have only a couple of comments. One is the color of the sky, which on my monitor looks unnaturally blue. Maybe it is just the monitor, but have you given it a hyper-natural color on PS? If so, I advise toning it down a little. But maybe the Velvia film gave the sky this tone. Also, can additional shadow detail be brought out on the hill to the left? In this connection, I wonder how the image would look as B&W, with a sky that is lighter where it hits the foreground but shades to a darker tone at the edges of the frame. It seems to be that the strength of the image is more in its form than its color; there isn't a broad spectrum of color as is. But these are just some musings, and I like your image. Link to comment
