too sharpened i guess

This one is photoshopped to death. I would like to see something a little closer to the original; I feel that I am critiquing the filter rather than the photo.

Very nice composition but poor digital processing - the colours and textures look artificial and the unsharp mask is too strong.

Thank you all for the feedback - I appreciate it. It was a paint dab or something effect that I used. So, here's another version. Added contrast and a bit of saturation to bring out the tones, and a slight crop. No sharpening, no unsharpening, no filters, etc. Additional feedback is much appreciated. -Amy

Sorry I don't like th effect!

The unfiltered version is much better. Nice composition and good colors here. If you could go out on the roof and remove that horrible ribbed hose in the FG I would say you've got an excellent shot here...

:-) Thanks for the feedback. Funny, the tiles in the foreground almost still have that painted effect - but that's really how they looked (well, as captured by my camera). As for the hose - I'm no longer in Florence...otherwise I might just try! Much thanks for the comment.
