dk. 0 Posted June 24, 2005 Yongbo the lens you used --> Canon EF 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 That is the cheap lens that came with the camera body right? Are you happy with it? You seem to make great pictures with it like this one. I was just wondering what you think about this lens as my brother is thinking of getting a Canon and lens and he is short on $$. DK. yongbo 0 Posted June 24, 2005 Hi David, I use that lens for landscape only. RAW format, the camera was always on the tripod for long exposure. I spent about 2 hours on each image during the RAW conversion. The lens is not sharp enough, but you can apply USM in PS. In addition, I bought the Canon 50 mm f/1.8 ($70), a cheap but great lens for family pictures (with Sigma EF-500 DG Super Flash for indoor). Link to comment

yongbo 0 Posted June 26, 2005 Hi Federico and Paolo, thanks for the encouraging comments. I think this image could be better if the sun didn't come out from the clouds. It was 5 seconds exposure. Link to comment
