rayfraser 0 Posted June 24, 2005 Looking up but no stars - can't be landscape without any land. While not an astro photo, perhaps astro community is more interested in debayer and infrared than those seeking artistic qualities. Anyone know where I can get a M9 telephoto lens? Link to comment
FilmPhotography-DuaneHorne 0 Posted July 1, 2005 Please tell me more; camera, film, exposure, lens, etc. I shoot a lot of B&W IR. Never had any sucess with it for astrophotograph. Did you use a reflector or refractor lens? Do you remember the settings? bracket? Sometimes the comments here are just critical and provide no constructive feedback. I would like to give you some advise if I can. Keep at it; keep shooting. Link to comment
rayfraser 0 Posted July 6, 2005 Duane this was my first attempt with a debayered (physically scraped off bayer layer) drugstore digital CVS $10 camera. I polished IR filter off one of 4 glass lenses in small lens assembly and placed a piece of unexposed developed slide film in front of lens. I am looking for an IR pass filter that is better than film for less than $10. Sorry no astro lens yet - that is why I asked for a M9 telephoto. Link to comment
