Yellow Crowned Night Heron

Good shot, but the bird is absolutely drowned between the branch its on, and the background that practically shouts out.

I'd advise trying this shot with the aperture a heck of a lot wider. Its just too stopped down, which is giving you way too much depth of field. That contrasts too much with the bird, considering that the background is so strong.

Also, a little closer to the bird would have been wonderful! More bird, less background, and you have a very unique shot!!!

Excellent pose of the bird, and very interesting with the beak slightly open!
