I invite you to critique this photo, and if you like it, you may

enjoy my "Showcase Folder." Is the blue is too predominate from the

darkness and extended exposure time, and is there is enough contrast

between the sky and the ridge above the treeline. Does the lack of

snow lower left detract and need to be cropped?

gorgeous colours!!!

i would suggest to crop the left side a bit, to move the colour more toward the centre, but the slope down on that side balances the one on the right nicely. too bad the ridge wasn't lit the entire way across.

Perfect timing to get that little bit of light tracing the crest just enough to separate it from the sky and the rest of the mountain. Makes an excellent complement to the drama of the brightly lighted mountain on the right.

almost the same shot, but totaly different in feel/light and colouring, another wow factor for me

The kind of light that makes you grateful you had your camera with you...and make you want to just scream if you didn't... Exquisite..

I lived in Alaska for 3 years and looking at

this photo is like seeing the mountains with my own eyes again ... Nice!

Cropping some of the blue might have steered more attention to

the contrast between the light and dark trees.  Beautiful timing no matter.
