Emerald in Green

ian cameron

Location: Hopeman bay, Moray, Scotland.A hazy summer sky prompted me to visit Hopeman Bay where I hoped to see the sun's power diluted to form a red orb over the Moray Firth. I wasn't disappointed and after a quick scout round I came across this contrasting organically shaped piece of rock whose green fingers seemed to grasp at the setting sun. It was nice to have the company of a fellow photographer to share the magic with. I shouldn't really need to defend myself but I shall. These colours are 100% genuine they match my Velvia transparency and indeed my memory of the scene almost exactly. Please feel free to visit my website for some other recent uploads, Transient light, There are some superb new shots at Timecatcher too.

A hazy sunset at Hopeman Bay, Scotland with the red orb sinking

contrasts sharply with the velvet green algae covering these organic

looking rocks. Colours are genuine Velvia. Please view BIG.

A beautiful image, I especially like the green seaweed covered rocks as they lead your eye to the sunset. Cheers, Sondra

Hi Ian , you love your photography and so do I.

This is exceptional with the powerful strong green foreground and the subdued back light.
