ivan colman 0 Posted June 19, 2005 Although it is a characteristic of the 20mm lens, imho there is a bit to much (foreground ?) on this photo. Of course this is part of the originality of the photo. Personally I would have cut the sky just above the mountain. This is of course easily said afterwards, but all things considered this remains a strong and original landscape photo. gahspidy 0 Posted June 19, 2005 I agree with cropping off the sky a bit. Great lighting, excellent foreground. Strong image 6/6 Link to comment
jimg 0 Posted June 19, 2005 Fantastic wide angle shot. I really am enveloped by the image from the detail in the foreground all the way through to the stormy background. I wouldn't mind seeing a little more saturation of color but perhaps that has more to do with the color correction of the image versus the actual slide since you shot this with Velvia. Other than that I think this is nearly perfect. Link to comment
jimg 0 Posted June 19, 2005 After another look at your image I think the saturation is there, but the lack of color correction on your scan is what I'm noticing. Attached is an example of before and after color correcting. The left and right portions of your image are original and the center strip (top to bottom) has had a levels and curves adjustment. It's a subtle change but one I think if implemented would help the impact of your image. Link to comment
