The clouds gathered slowly above its old body... Above the Tree with the tormented branches... Dark and Angry... As if they await its orders... to attack the nature and dismember the nearby mountains... The moon was there too... Almost a shadow, scared to talk, to breathe... trying to hide even the little dirty light that was coming from behind, from it's back...

I had no feet... I was found there as a passenger of this dream, as a martyr for this scene of apocalypse... Not able to run away... Only stare at this gathering of menace and glory...

"Who are You..." ? a hoarse voice asked me... My heart stopped and my eyes hardly saw the dark silhouette of an old crow on the upper right branch of the tree... "I am a no-one" I whispered... "and you should be !" he added... "Here there is no place for anyone, except me and him" he said, looking towards the Tree ... "And the clouds ?" I dared to ask... "The clouds are here to serve us, you fool" he screamed... making the remaining of my blood to freeze more... "These clouds will bring here their winds, the Four Great Winds that travel to the outskirts of this fallen land... " The eyes of the old crow were looking deep in my soul trying to see if there was fear, if I could face the incoming doom, the winds of terror, the winds of my salvation...

"You travelled a long way to come here..." he said, "but now your trip has ended... let your aura travel with them... and close your eyes... you won't need them anymore"...

My shadow is still there... and my eyes were left to look upon the Tree of the Four Winds... and I will travel with Them... for Ever...

Michael, you have pleased my eye and illuminated my heart with this picture.

But alas, I find it very hard, almost impossible, to deal with all the four "Tree" photos at once and verbalize my feelings. They all have their specifical charm and strength and no weaknesses. All the four are to me clearly excellent "strike home shots". Simple set-up, excellent composition, precise execution.

I wish I could take my camera now and try to create something to match this. If we only had some clouds in my region these days :)

The best of all the versions and the most natural even though in B&W. Excellent. I admire your vision.
