Same shot as Pools of Radiance, but Ive changed the white balance

around in the RAW file to warm it up a bit. I prefer the previous

one, but would really appreciate your views as to which is better.

Oh, and I cloned out the annoying white shell in the foreground pool too.

Thanks for looking,

Adam.

This version may be more realistic, but it's missing the feeling of mystery emanating from the other one.

I like the warmer colors of this shot more than the other ... I like the composition in the foreground that leads to the centrally located rock :-)

I like this one better--sand shouldn't be too blue. I like to use my imagination, but not when it comes to the color of sand. Really blue water, well that's a different story.

Hey Adam, I really love this image! I wish you would include your lens and filters and all that relevant data with your images, there must be some reason you choose not to. If this was shot with the 20D, which lens did you use? It's pretty wide, was it with the 10-22? Again, this is a beautiful image!

Fantastic composition and colors. I love the subject stone in the first place and how it helps to bring a dimension to the scene.

Thanks all for your comments.

Sorry for not leaving more details Brian. I post on a few websites and all the info starts to become too much for me, especially as some of these sites have pretty tedious ways of selecting lens etc.

This was taken with the Canon 10-22mm. Aperture F18, shutter I think 5 secs but Im not at home at the mo to check. I used a .3 and .6 ND grad filter.

Hope this helps,

Adam.

Thanks for the lens info, Adam! Mucho apprediatedo. I don't frequent many sites but I understand how it could get tedious giving lens and filter specs on each image if you do so. Canon sure would appreciate it if you did so, though! :^D I'd like to get me one of those 10-22's after seeing this image!

Nice shot Adam.

I see you have converted to Digital in the last few months. And cloning in PS !??! Its a slippery slope !

Fantastic image however, I cant decide which of the two images I prefer - they are both excellent.

Where is this ?

I like this version better, the warmer tones are more pleasant to my eye. Very well composed photo, beautiful sky captured. Fantastic!
