Oh yes! I've been there! it was the most magical moment of my time spent in Japan, the first time the word "gobsmacked" made so much sense. What a fantastic view.

This is a wonderful place, and so pleasant, I was with a large group of people photographing it and posted the image here before and on usefilm also, then some how decided to delete it.

 

You did a great job here and I really enjoyed viewing this image of yours and I will repost mine for you to see.

Amazing! - Talk about a picture post card. yikes - I am loving this. What a place to visit..and with a camera. great capture Pnina. You have so many lovely images. and you still take time to frame so nice..

Lovely picture of a extremely difficult temple to photograph effectively. I think that you get decent light for no more than a couple of minutes in the evening due to the proximity of the mountains.

BTW, it's name is actually Ginkaku-ji.
