gulfbeach47 0 Posted June 12, 2005 The storm came in today June 11th. My local newspaper claims they are going to use this on the front page. Instead of running from the storm, people flocked to the beach.Yes,some were foolish. Link to comment
currents_serene 0 Posted June 12, 2005 Oh, my God! I wonder if the little ones were terrified? Link to comment
j_doyle 0 Posted June 12, 2005 I really like this! At first I thought the breaking waves were a row of shrubs/trees. The placidity of the watchers in the face of the force of Mother Nature is what makes this photo riveting. And the yellows/reds/blues work well. Nice work! Link to comment
gulfbeach47 0 Posted June 13, 2005 Earlier the waves were much larger but they were slamming against the wall and bouncing backwards.Anything is possible, especially when dealing with nature. 1 freak wave and they would all be gone.I can't agree with bringing the children there but at least they were not on the wall. It was unbelievable to have tons of water gushing up inches in front of your face. Link to comment

dnl 0 Posted March 10, 2007 This one deserves to be selected as a photo of the week. Remarkable. -- DL Link to comment
janienews 0 Posted December 1, 2008 It must have taken courage to even photograph it so close - it looks a very dangerous wave to me. Your photograph's place in this gallery is well deserved. Link to comment
