When I was a young child I had a big interest in the holy book. Wherever it was hidden for me, I figured out where it was in few seconds. My mother was sure that I would become a priest. Maybe this explain my interest for some churches which can be viewed in my Portfolio. Thanks in advance for your time and thoughts.

Why not any more?

God's still there you know.

I'd love to strike up a conversation about it if you don't mind.

God bless.

This is a great shot, but the perspective distortion is a little bothersome. It makes the church look like it about to fall over. This is easily corrected for in PhotoShop. Ever try it?

Byron, many thanks for your comment. Yes I have tryed it and did not like the outcome. However, this is my version of this church. Thanks again and kind regards, Baldur

I like the distortion and it just makes the impact more strong. Everything points to the sky, while sky has great cloud to cooperate. What could be better? Another Gem.

Clouds distortion makes to think that sky is added in PS, but after checking that no manipulation, it makes image more unique.

Ah! - the light and space of Iceland we have come to expect from you, Baldur! I like churches too. They represent a peoples way of expressing faith and love and go beyond what we see and touch. (and they usually look good too).

I like this shot and your creative use of the perspective distortion. (14mm - that IS wide!). Possibly I might have tried to use the verticals of the poles and crosses on the left to give more of a sense of reaching towards heaven but I have no idea whether that idea would work in practice. Beautiful light as ever! regards - Colin

Another great "Birgis Creation"! The 14mm looks like a lot of fun. How about removing the small dark object on the extreme left of the frame? Regards.

Marek, many thanks for your comment. Most of my work is unmanipulated and I think there is only one image in this folder with the sky added by layer. Best regards, Baldur

Brad, many thanks for your comment. Glad you think so. Sometimes when I am not sure about a title, I ask my wife what she think. I did so in this case and she came with this one, absolutely sure. Thanks to her !

Colin, many thanks for your comment. I agree with all you said about churches. Before I made the shot, I tryed all kind of angles and in the end I decided this one with the "Humble Effect" in the flagpole and crosses around the church. Best regards, Baldur

Walter, thank you very much for your comment. Glad you like it. The small dark object is the upper part of a stone gate with a cross on the top. I decided to keep it inside the frame before the shot because my feeling was that it is a part of a reverence from the flagpole and crosses for the church. "Energy" is from the day before the shot. Best regards, Baldur
