This is an excellent image. Technically it is well on the money. I couldn't help but wonder, however, what it composition would do if we used the "rule of the thirds". I manipulated the image so that the composition is not as static now, and put the moon on the upper right intersect of the lines if were to draw tic-tac-toe lines on the image.

It is merely something to consider.

I wouldn't have bothered going to all the trouble if I didn't think you have some real talent here. I'm going to go check out the rest of your portfolio.

note: I just visited your portfolio, and it is obvious you are well advanced and know very well the rule of the thirds. I thought about deleting this comment altogether, but decided to leave it here just in case a beginning student wants to do some comparing. (Let me know via email if you would like this comment deleted, and I will be happy to rid you of it.)

Thanks for the comments. I did also make a couple of vertical exposures that did comply with the rule of 3rds on a vertical level. In addition, I have one shot with the moon in the left 3rd. For some reason that shot has excessive noise and the right side of the frame also became too dark (since illumination was on the far left). Good comments - much appreciated!!
