Ultra-nimble Lotus Super 7 in final turn at Hallet

I captured this image panning my Olympus D460Z P&S digital camera.

The image accurately shows a Lotus Super 7 club racer, but I think it

lacks the visual impact of a speeding racer. Any suggestions on what

I could have done to improve this?

Not bad. You've got some motion blur and the Lotus is sharp. I think I'd prefer it with the tires at the bottom cropped out, and maybe a bit less space behind the car and a bit more in front.

I find the Lotus/Caterham Super7 to look its primest in motion when you take the shot from in front of it, at the 2-o-clock point off from the car. That is, diagonally forward and toward the passenger side of the vehicle, off from the front passenger-side wheel.

 

That angled view of the Super7 helps add to its rocket-image versus a go-cart image. Just my two cents.

Thanks for the critiques. I can recrop the image as it is quite large and has far too much extraneous space around it. The camera only has a 3x optical zoom and the file is 1.3 megapixel.

 

Once again thanks for the comments. I do have some front quarter shoits of the Super 7. I will see about getting them posted.
