ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted June 9, 2005 A little hot in her jeans, but all in all, very good. The composition, graffiti, and the vertical of the pipe all work well. As does her position in the frame Link to comment
holmesj181 0 Posted June 9, 2005 with out a title to the image, the center pole begs a question of purpose of the shot. is she or her "culture" contrasted to the graffiti? OK for the pole. is she in a street situation? not OK for the pole. this would then determine the ratings: 5/5 on the former, 3/3 (?) on the later. a confused average=4/4. jh Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted June 9, 2005 Good point, but either way, isn't the pole a part of a stark street scene? Link to comment
khaf 0 Posted June 13, 2005 I'm not getting your point here. To me it's whether it works as a picture. Does it catch your eye? My idea with the pic was to present an urban streetpic with originality and catch the walking woman to make the pic more "alive". The title was supposed to be "Karate", being the poster on the pole. To me, posters on poles are a typical "citysign". Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted June 14, 2005 I don't really know what Jack is talking about. I think you succeeded in what you were trying to convey Link to comment
khaf 0 Posted June 14, 2005 Thanks for the support, Ken ;) I appreciate the comment, JH. Don't get me wrong, I just didn't get it. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 30, 2005 Interesting image, i do like this shot, but its a little to hot. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted August 1, 2005 I like it very much, but I am not sure about the centered placement for the pole. I tried out a square crop and made a sacrifice of parts of the graffiti, just an idea Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 4, 2005 I like the pole dead center. It works in this shot because the pole isnt the subject, the woman is. Link to comment
