What do you think about this scene???

This is definitely an interesting, unusual scene. Just curious, though - was there any manipulation involved? The black space in the center of the frame looks incredibly unreal, and given how awash the foreground is with light, it seems implausible that there wouldn't be the slightest trace of detail or tonal variation past those bricks. I don't know if I could get such a pure black on color film if I tried!
