Ubiquitous

The man-made objects in this photo are ever-present everywhere American soldiers are found in Kuwait: Rawdatain water bottles and Texas barriers. 1/501 @ f/2.8, ISO 50.

Empty water bottles and concrete "Texas barriers" are two sights you

just can't avoid on American posts here in the Persian Gulf. Thanks

for your comments.

Nice colors and shapes. A slight crop off the left side (to the end concrete barrier) and a crop off the top to the "twin white" clouds (left) would give a defined focal area, as it is, the image is "too" open. Your focal point is low, and the image needs to be "tighter".

The name of this mineral water is Roudhteen which means "two gardens". It is natural water comes from water wells in north of Kuwait. I am from Kuwait, I study dentistry at West Virginia University in WV. I was searching for photos related to Kuwait. Your work is nice, but in this way, u showed that Kuwait is dirty :P

Abdullah -- thanks for your comment. As I noted, this was taken on a Kuwaiti installaion in an area controlled by American personnel, so it doesn't reflect fairly on the rest of the country. I suppose it could be taken as a statement of our stewardship of your bases...I don't know. It was just a water bottle in front of some protective barriers at the time.
