aim ipodlounger 0 Posted October 29, 2001 I happened upon a plant in the desert...at the very tops of the plant were a gathering of ant and aphids...for what reason I haven't a clue, but as a photo subject it was perfect. Link to comment
jmacneil 0 Posted October 29, 2001 when i first saw this, i saw just another photo. but when i actually looked at it, i kind of liked it. not really a great photo, but it works with the cloud background. it'd be nice if there was only the lone ant and if more of the plant was in focus (although it does give it a bit more depth this way) Link to comment
imaginator 0 Posted October 29, 2001 Ants actually hang around aphids because they like the "honeydew" the aphids create. In fact, the ants are quite keen to manitulating the aphids to their advantage! Good shot, but some fill light (reflector?) might have helped the aphids be more visible... the ant looks good.
