watermark_of_merni 14 Posted June 6, 2005 This resembles a vintage postcard ! Great vanishing point and dramatic sky. I love the repetitious lines of the cottages and their stairs. A beautiful composition. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted June 6, 2005 I like the dichotomy of this image. It is a view of a vacation spot, yet the ominous sky does not feel inviting...who wants to be at the beach with a storm coming on?(Except us, of course) I agree with Marni as to the nostalgic feeling that the sepia creates. The preseason emptiness also gives it a different mood...maybe portending calamity. Excellent work here, Rog. Link to comment
christian.s.mendes 0 Posted June 7, 2005 Very interesting composition. Good eye. I liked of the sky and clouds, curious texture. Regards Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted June 9, 2005 Before the masses decend on the beaches of Cape Cod, liked the perspective in this shot, hope you agree. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted June 10, 2005 I really like this one, too, Roger. Sepia works well. Great depth and nice lead-in for the eyes, following the little houses. Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted June 10, 2005 Funny to see all these little places empty, but since it was not the season...now they are all full of kids, dogs and such... Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted December 9, 2005 Yes, colour did not fit this image at all...needed the "Postcard" feel.... Link to comment
