libeso 0 Posted June 4, 2005 This was taken in East Hampton, NY. It was after the first major blizzard of the winter. I spent the entire day chasing down drifts and this is the best of the group. Link to comment
zao 0 Posted June 4, 2005 I love the contrast! very sensual. I feel however the picture is generally underexposed on the right half: the fence and darker cloud tip the balance of the picture. Try perhaps key-frame? Link to comment
minicucci 0 Posted June 4, 2005 Byron: Excellent image! I suspect this will make a gorgeous print. The detail in the snow/dunes is first rate and you have done a masterful job of controlling the highlights. The dark sky leaves the image a bit unbalanced (IMO). Attached is an alternate version that lightens the sky (with a perfectly dreadful selection...but there you are) and applies a small bit of burn/dodge to the snow/sand details. Of course, This may not be what you are after. Notwithstanding the above, great image! Link to comment
j_doyle 0 Posted June 4, 2005 Magnificent sand/snow-scape. Looks so forboding and alien and cold. Wonderful job! Link to comment
