Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted June 3, 2005 I love the foot just off the beam, nicely separated by the blured blue background. The perfect focus on her intense eyes is also great. 7/7. Link to comment
juliusbergh 0 Posted June 3, 2005 Very sharp and perfect timing. The composition and "pose" is a bit... Perhaps if we saw the whole right leg it would be a more complete "form" that the judges would score her on but then you would miss on the detail a closer crop provides. It is just as though a "line" is not complete. Good capture tough. Link to comment
bens 0 Posted June 3, 2005 GREAT to see you posting again. i think this is a very skillful and well rendered shot in colors, clarity, moment captured, and composition. re the comment directly above, the real world is rarely neat and clean; in a studio you might have considered a slightly different composition. but that is a different genre. as a sports action shot this is wicked good. there's a little grain in the background understandably. i recently discovered neat image -- great for cutting down grain on high iso indoor sports shots -- there's a free downloadable demo, i recommend trying it if you haven't already. (feel free to email me if you have questions, bnsfr@aol.com [no i have nothing to do with neat image].) i've been starving for your great photos, glad you put this up! Link to comment

atkphotoworks 0 Posted June 3, 2005 Very well Captured Geert. Hope this is a sign of more postings. Link to comment
cappoldt 0 Posted June 4, 2005 Really nice. The grain, I suppose, is from a high ISO? I imagine yo'd need one for an indoor pic like this, freezing the action. How are you liking the D2X? Looks as though IT is liking YOU! Link to comment
geert_vanden_wijngaert 0 Posted June 4, 2005 Hey thanks for the words. I'll try to post some more recent pics. The D2x with the 200mm f2 G VR is the perfect gear for sports action ...more or less perfect. Link to comment
terry_mccully 0 Posted June 4, 2005 Perfect Time to hit that shutter here.. great capture... split second... great work Link to comment
eric_t. 0 Posted June 5, 2005 The foot just off the beam...the concentration in the eyes...the virtually perfect form...and you caught it all spot on. Congrats on a beautifully done sports photo! Link to comment
mbrown 1 Posted September 24, 2006 Awesome Shot Geert, what iso did you shoot this at, looks like the lighting was pretty good there. I did an event last week and the lighting was crud, couldnt get much in the way of action, just holds, andmost of those were at 1600 & 3200. Mike Brown Link to comment
