amished 0 Posted June 1, 2005 There is something about shooting objects which are devoid of life in the infrared wavelengths which I find intriguing. Link to comment
christian deichert 1 Posted June 1, 2005 Composition could use some work; the subject just seems to be put in the middle somewhere. The tonal range here is very muddy; I recommend working on the contrast levels to present a better range of tones from black to white. Link to comment
amished 0 Posted June 2, 2005 Thanks guys. I'm trying to figure out why when I do a "save for web" in PS CS2 the images lose so much contrast and get too bright. I'll probably need to compensate and repost. In regards to the composition, I'll save my comments until the correct image quality is up. Perhaps, it'll change you opinion. Link to comment
christian deichert 1 Posted June 16, 2005 I don't see much improvement in the contrast level here, and my monitor is calibrated pretty well. I see light gray and dark gray, not black and white. Sharper contrast would help this a great deal. I would have expected darker waters with the 87C filter. As far as composition, I still think it's overly centered. I would recommend cropping some off the bottom and some off the left side so the reflection of the pipe and the edge of the foundation both lead the eyes better to the pipe and the portion of the foundation above water. Hope this helps. Link to comment
