mikeseb 0 Posted May 30, 2005 But you're forgiven. their faces speak volumes. Nicely done. Appreciate your feedback on my work also. Link to comment
nacphoto 0 Posted June 1, 2005 The composition with the Psycho poster and the evil eye that the woman facing the camera is giving you is what makes this work for me. You really have a great eye for this stuff. Link to comment
simonbode 0 Posted June 1, 2005 thank you, unfortunately i get very bad ratings for this kind of stuff.... Link to comment
vasilis 0 Posted June 2, 2005 I believe I understand what you mean. Every sunset and landscape I posted got overrated. They were not bad but I did not like them because my creativity was next to zero. Then when I started uploading street and people photos that I liked because they had some creativity, trying to say something, the ratings went down. But this is a detail, I was more astonished that people do not bother to say something to improve the photo. For example on this one posted here maybe you could have a greater contrast or sharpness and also the angle is not maybe correct because the lamp should not cover the psycho poster. Further, if the reflections on the posters were eliminated it would be maybe an even better photo. Link to comment
bruno 0 Posted June 6, 2005 I don't fully agree with Vasilis' comments about the picture... contrast and sharpness are ok here, if anything is just that sometimes low res pictures need more contrast and sharpness to attract attention (as I told you already), but I find it very pleasant otherwise... this photo whispers, doesn't scream, and it's ok like this. Not sure about the lamp. On one side it attracts attention, but also helps to form a kind of triangle with the head of the two women, therefore highlighting the writing "psycho"... or maybe stealing attention from it... maybe you could try to clone the lamp away, not to have a better photo but to understand what to do the next time.
