The Itsy Bitsy Spider

I have been told this reminds most of a scene from a horror movie.

Be aware, this is a real live tarantula - in fact, one of my most

aggressive tarantulas in my collection (Ephebopus murinus).

 

Taken under natural sunlight, tweaked with a photoshop filter to

give it the "sepia" look.

I like how you focused on the silk instead of the spider. It gives the photo a much more menacing feel.

The framing and focus are just great. Congratulations!

Awesome composition. The silohete of the spider coming around the corner in its defensive pose really works, did you have to stir it up for this? Sepia was a very good choice for this image. Very well done indeed :)

And yes, Brad, I did have to stir her up a bit for this shot, but she's a feisty one even when the lid of her cage opens - her senses go into HIGH GEAR so I must be careful, wouldn't wanna get bit by 1/2" fangs!
