Bald Eagle

This is a good idea that could use some work.

Positive: Focus is good. I like the detail in the properly exposed sections. Eye draws attention.

Negative: The whole back of the head is blown out to white. The face is in shadow. The eagle is looking at something, but the composition is very static (I would shift the eagle slightly to the left of the frame). The banded background is distracting (did you use a mirror lens or DO lens?). The shot also looks very clich餠to me.

I'm not trying to be too negative. This is a good start. You have some other good tries in your folder. I would specifically work on exposure and composition. You have a digital camera, so try as many variations on a shot as you can. You have made some good subject choices, but you need to practice more.

Then again, the practice is the fun part, right?
