This is a sepia toned version of my previous posting. I think that it does well compared to the

original colour version, but would be interested to hear what you think?

the colour version is an average picture postcard. This one is a good photograph. But you know from my previous comments, I'm far more into B/W. It's a pity there's no structure in the sky. Anyway I like this vintage look. Cheers Chris

Thanks Chris, I agree with you about the sky, but this is often the way in the Highlands of Scotland!

i love it! Better than the colour version and in my opinion better than the b&w, the sepia suits the sand and the castle more. Thanks for sticking up for me on my other photo, my stupid brother started all of that.

Nick, I think the sepia is the better color. It gives the castle a slightly more fobidding look that the color version does.

A really moodful, hope that's a word, image. It is like stepping into a movie with a lot of sentiments.

The lack of clouds make it look like an orthocromatic pic, which in this case when added with the toning and the subject helps to confound clear dating of the image, which is a good thing!

No need to appologise Porter, only mediocrity pleases all the people all of the time! Your honesty is a refreshing change on this site!
