biswajit 0 Posted April 4, 2006 I rated this photo when I first joined PN last year and this has remained one of my favourite shot, this is an excellent and rare photo in all respect, this picture depicts an spectacular event of fateful death of a creature, the reptile's eyes are really dreadful and has become the symbol of death here. The relative calmness in the stature of the victim is really very appealing to me, maybe the creature is ignorant about what is going to happen soon. Whatever you have catched a very very rare moment and this is very symbolic to me. Your fine sense of composition and the choice of the background have taken this photo to a different height. Specially the darkness behind the reptile is an excellent choice. This photo deserves a 7 in asthetics and thank you for asking me the question, I am updating my rating 6/7 by 7/7. Please don't mind my update. Best regards. Link to comment
mohsens 0 Posted October 21, 2006 The subject is captured in a good moment that can't be found everywhere. means the photo is really original. But I don't like that background. I'm not sure, maybe it is added in PS. it is not a part of the whole photo. IMHO looks like an amateur PS work on changing the busy background of the original photo with a gradient. also I think the dead red and green colors of the background could be better vivid colors. However maybe if the colors were so vivid, the attraction of viewer might be absorbed in them. Link to comment

sasooo 0 Posted December 6, 2006 Nice... Maybe you should try to shoot the bgr, also... I think it would help a lot... You should check this page: http://exo-terra.com/EN/nactus/voting.html The contest is over, but you should check it next year... The winner of the Exo Terra Nactus Award will get to join the Exo Terra Gabon 2007 Expedition as the expedition?s official photographer p.s. The vote is on until January 1st 2007... john_travassos1 0 Posted December 6, 2006 you have captured a moment that most of us will never be able to replicate, therefore, it makes this photo exceptional. criticism about DOF is unjustified, other than being a manifestation of envy. Great job! Link to comment

leif_goodwin8 0 Posted November 20, 2007 That's an excellent shot. Pity it cost so much! Still, maybe if you enter a photo contest with a monetary prize ... Link to comment
