ecdiv 0 Posted May 29, 2005 Someone suggested converting this one to black and white. It was a good idea. Much improved. Thanks! Link to comment
angela_monty 0 Posted May 29, 2005 I ;feel this needs more contrast - the dress is grey when it should be much whiter. Otherwise a pretty image with good detail and dof. Link to comment
ecdiv 0 Posted May 29, 2005 Thanks, Angela. I'll pull it up in photoshop and see what I can do. I never noticed ... it really helps to have someone else look ... Thanks again! Ed Link to comment
paul_sokal___dallas__tx 0 Posted May 29, 2005 I agree with Angela. Great DOF and detail but looks like the white point needs to be moved. Here's my stab at it. Used a curves layer too. Link to comment
paul_sokal___dallas__tx 0 Posted May 29, 2005 Well the pic didn't post. Let me try again Link to comment
paul_sokal___dallas__tx 0 Posted May 29, 2005 Well it looked better on my monitor but doesn't look much different here. Sorry. Link to comment
ecdiv 0 Posted May 30, 2005 Paul, Thanks for the suggestion and the updated picture. It looks whiter on my monitor. How would I have done it in Photoshop Elements? I tried adjusting it further, but ended up frustrated - because it looked to me like I was losing detail when I went for a whiter dress. This photo was taken in a bridal shop. Could I have used the D70 reference photo function to set the dress as "white" (shoot the dress as the white reference rather than a reference card?)? Is that a good idea? Link to comment
