A sunny spot on the snowy grasses

There is a softness about this image that makes it almost warm. Simplicity makes for a great shot.

That is really a nice shot, calm and soft. In my personal opinion a bit more sharpness at the object would be great. Just my 2 euro-cent.

I guess that the 300mm tele handheld is the main culprit for lacking sharpness. This photo was taken from the second floor window of my house and I didn't have much time to think about the background here. (The morning light cone on the snow was moving really fast and I noticed this subject too late for any fine adjustments.)

The bluish overcast on the shadowy parts comes from the bright blue sky and the original slide was quite blue too. Anyway, I personally like this shot a lot, because the moment was so instantaneous and I managed to take a photo about it. Perhaps I'll try again this kind of photography when I get the opportunity.
