lorraine 0 Posted October 26, 2001 Great job on the photo!!! I am curious how you got that lighting. Did you use a filter? Did you meter it first to get the right picture? Wonderful photo. Lorraine Foster Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 26, 2001 Interesting shot. However, I do think that it would benefit from your being further to his right, so that you get a better view of his face (instead of the mic). Also, the focus seems to be on the microphone. Anyway, check out www.caribana.ch for some photographs of mine (under the 2001 concert photos (http://www.caribana.ch/instit01/photos01b.htm) - I'm also a young and aspiring photographer like you, being 18). ibuyufo 0 Posted October 28, 2001 I'ts a very good shot. I like the microphone in front of him. Without it he would just look like he was taking a nap but with the microphone in front you can tell his singing and not napping. Link to comment
markcarp 0 Posted November 18, 2001 The choice of microphone as the focal point instead of his eyes is atypical, but one that I think works. Especially with his eyes closed and the mike in front of his face. It all says to me that the music is what is important here, not the singer. Link to comment
erik hansen photography 0 Posted December 16, 2002 you can't get a better live shot than this. not typical, and that might "hurt" it, but that's why it's good. the mike in front of the out-of-focus face is a big reason it works so well. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted May 31, 2003 This one gets high originality marks from me. It's different and that is what makes it better. Link to comment
