Lazy lizard

Why "lazy", Johannes? This small creature is making a great efforts to climb up, considering how heavy its tail is. :-) It's easy to plead for more DOF, but it's a difficult shot, I appreciate it. Still a beautiful picture. Regards. Blago

Thanks for commenting. The guy was just lying still there for a long time basking in the sun, which gives a lazy impression. These reptiles prefer catching the last warmth of the afternoon sun rather than running away from the photographer.

The 'temperature' of the sunlight does feel a little lazy, as if the day and the diurnal creatures are winding down towards temporary suspension of activity. I quite enjoy the dof, as if the lizard is appearing through a crack in the mists of time. Impressive tail!

I like it too, as I like those lazy creatures. The DOF is right for me, I am not a poet as Seven therefore I am more prosaic: I think it makes the image more dramatic, dinamic which is a great contrast with the quiteness of being lazy.
