helo Amar, this is a beautiful shot, the placement of the receiving hand in the frame is very good. the giving hand seems cropped a little more. good work!

about the shot "Famsi-2" there was a glass dining table in the bottom left.and i placed a 100 watt flash on the ground directly threw it to the background at full power. so it made the composition distracting by the mentioned area.

Farrokh Chothia's work is very professional. He is doing really very good at commercial work.

Thank You!

Usman, thank you for your comments. I completely agree with the slightly cropped hand (the giving hand). I wish I shot this one better, but nevertheless saw other potential strengths to off set it.

Glad you could check out Farrokh's work. It's certainly inspiring.

Amar, What is great: how you captured and froze the rice falling and those details-tattooes on the giving hands and the receiving hands as well.

What I'd edit: the arms of the receiving hands appear too skinny; i'd show them more.

Paula, thanks for the suggestion about the receiver's arms. I actually hadn't thought about because I was more focused on giver's hands.

but i dont' think you should change anything.

you captured the transferring of the rice in a simple and beautiful way. i love the black background. cropping is perfect. any changes to this shot would be sinful. i think you need to trust your inner guide, you seem to have a good one.

Markus, I want to thank you for your enthusiastic intervention and appraisal of the image. I do indeed trust my inner guide and my instincts as I shoot. However, part of what I perceive as the goal in posting, in addition to exhibiting my work, is to receive feedback. I most certainly appreciate the comments I have received and the suggestions that have been made above. I think they inform my inner guide or at least give it more thought to consider. Thanks again for visiting and look forward to seeing you again.

Very good composition and exposure,Amar. It is amazing how you captured the falling of rice so clearly and in continuous stream. Heartiest congratulations.

Amar,I like the idea of the hands. I would have liked to see more of the decorated hands and less the recieving ones. anyway good composition,I think it will be nice if you will do more frames of that theme. Pnina

Thank you Roshni, Amalji and Pnina. Pnina, I certainly wish I got a bit more of the giving hands. Incidentally there are more to come in this series where givings hands are given more emphasis.

Amar, since you are going to be posting more images in the near future with emphasis on giving hands, I will not restate what others have already said here :)

I just want to say, the tonality in this image is wonderful and I do like (very much!) your capture of the falling grains of rice - adds an good element of dynamism to an otherwise slightly static image, in my opinion.

I wonder if the interpretation would be different if you had included more negative space at bottom of frame? I was thinking of giving that sense of the receiver's hands collecting the grains of rice which would otherwise fall into 'darkness'. Hmm.. not sure if I am making sense here!

Anyway, just my thoughts. M

Michael, you would think with all the negative space that I like to work with, I would have thought about it, but I didn't. I may try that with another image later on.
