I don't know why but I just can't get the Factory out of my head.

What's odd is I didn't even like the stuff back in the old days.

Factory? I cannot make a proper critique of this as I don't see the significance of it. The tonal progression doesn't really make sense to me, though I do see some interest in the dark image and the left blue image... perhaps it would be better without the right side? Hmmm... I'm not familiar with the factory.

The Factory was an artist's salon/studio centered around Warhol in the late 60's/early 70's.

Ahhhh, yes... now I see. I have never been a fan of that style either, though I was too young to disparage it when it was contemporary...

Hi Ned.

I like this sequence, it has much more gravitas than the single image that you posted. I would be interested to hear how you achieved the different colours without affecting the apple or petals too much. Also I would like to see a sequence based on portrature.

Intrigued, Nick.

This was done by taking two shots of the same subject, each with a different lighting setup and white balance. The four images are then constructed from the two by adding them using four different screening methods: color blending, value blending, darkening, and difference. But not in that order. See if you can figure them out.
