It would be an impressive image even without the cup of water and iris, and I would like it at least as well. This man with his face and slouch begs to be photographed or drawn or painted.

I think that it is technically near perfect, though, while some aspects of the image seem true and genuine, it has a feeling of being 'prop'd'.. When I get over that fact, I love the photo in every way.

 

I see contrast in every way. The scrubby old man, then the smooth and shiny new looking leather jacket. The worn look of an old man, next to the crisp and beautiful flower.. Not to mention, the look of youth in his eyes.
