ash_herring 0 Posted May 11, 2005 Another B&W converted New-Zealand landscape ... I like using b&w to contrast the different landscapes (snow, rock, mountain, grass, sky). Link to comment
touchinglightphotography 0 Posted May 11, 2005 I'd like to see this printed with a bit more contrast and light down below and perhaps a bit less in the sky and on the mountain (using differential contrast printing with vc filters). I think the foreground is a bit too dark and featureless relative to the beautiful sky...but the sky is a bit burned out to the upper right (tough lighting!). Another technique that is sometimes fun is to shoot from an even lower vantage point, and to use a flash on the foreground grass (gives highlights out a few feet from the camera). You certainly live in a beautiful part of the world! Link to comment
ash_herring 0 Posted May 11, 2005 Richard, thanks for the tips! Unfortunately I only visited this part of the world for 2 weeks. I agree it would be nice to live in places like this. Link to comment
