For those of you feeling a sense of deja vu, you're kind of right. I incorporated some suggestions and added a border. Please let me know what you think! Link to comment
m_barbu1 0 Posted May 11, 2005 So, if you consider this an A:4/O:3 photo, what would improve it? Link to comment
nabs 0 Posted May 11, 2005 Very Good. Difficult subject. As its action based u had to decide quickly. i think u have done well considering the situation. The aesthetics is also nice. regards. Link to comment
denisgermain 0 Posted May 11, 2005 impressive shot 6/7 The only thing that I think could make it a perfect 7/7 is the color of the smoke in some areas... (brownish) an even white smike trail of a really colorful one would most likely have made it for me?. It also looks like it could be a bit crisper... but that's most likely due to the reduced JPG. aboubnan 0 Posted May 11, 2005 wish i could see the whole loop... no ? otherwise, congrats, great shot Link to comment
s._s. 0 Posted May 12, 2005 Well, I think the focal length was fine. :) I like airshows, and I like this photo. Sometimes less can be more. I don't feel like the top of the loop is missing at all. I think this is a great action shot. Makes me look forward to seeing the Blue Angels at Seattle's Sea Fair later this summer. Link to comment
janpeter 0 Posted May 13, 2005 Very nice! The changes you made definitely improved the picture. Link to comment
rjacksonphoto 0 Posted May 15, 2005 I'm not sure there is anything I would do differently. The colors are great and the composition is good. I agree that including the whole loop would make the planes too small. I could see this as a National Geographic cover. I notice the compression-- making the clouds look a little like they were painted-- but this can't be helped. Good work. Link to comment
jay weston 0 Posted May 28, 2005 Absolutely perfect, this is one of the best, most original shots Ive seen for a while. The composition of and type of clouds, planes, colour and design elements... Love it!!! Link to comment
Roy-photos 0 Posted May 30, 2005 Excellent shot, great timing, good colour composition and very pleasing to look at Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 13, 2005 The photo is excellent. My recollection is that Rochester only has two seaons, a few weeks in July and August, then the rest of the year. You were lucky to have a nice sunny day. The swirling pattern is interesting. Link to comment
fotoslim 0 Posted August 10, 2005 It hurts that the complete ripple is not seen... some fantastic tonalities as much the clouds as the sky. Thank you to translate your comment, my English is a disaster and I always have to be translating with a translator, sometimes worse than me jejeje. Best regards Link to comment
airwinger 0 Posted August 18, 2005 May I ask, do you use Adobe Photoshop. If you do then it may be better to resize your original image first to 400dpi then resize again to 1000 pixels along the longer axis. Now if you save for web you should retain a more defined photo and when on show at Photo.net, others will then gain the option to view larger. I do not intend to be critical, as this is a fine photo, but just hoping I help. All the best. Link to comment
airwinger 0 Posted August 18, 2005 Using my method above, the final size is usually around 90K although sometimes they may be a little larger, but Photo.net doesn't seem to mind and still lets me upload. As you said, I believe it's only a guide-line. If you think your work still ends up a little large just reduce to 300dpi but keep the 1000x?? dimensions. This may be of help to you. Link to comment
