Mountain & Clouds

Whilst it is rare to get a clear look at Mt Cook's peak, I rather

liked the effect the clouds hanging around the peak give.

I like the mountain scene, the coulds, the lake. This composition is quite appealing to me.

The cloud and the snow look a little burned out to me (is it just me?) and the slight lack of sharpness and washed out look combine to make this almost look painted. Was that the intention?

My first look at this scene had it cut from the bottom just above the lake, then I scrolled to see the rest. The lake is lovely, but the dark trees and lake don't "connect" well for me with the rest of the photo.

Then again, what do I know...
