This is one of the most original photos I've seen on this site in a long time. Wonderful! I look forward to further postings from you and to your criticisms since you've been "in the business" for a long time. Allan

Did you make the water in Photoshop? I think this photo is very cool. I just can't understand how you got the water to look like that. How thinly did you slice the orange?

Thank you for all your comments - and your ratings. Ligth is a wonderful thing, and I speculated about how it would look if you send it through an orange. I sliced an orange in 4-5 mm slices, and dried them in an oven for 10-12 hours at 70-80 degrees Celsius.

I took a slice and backlighted it. The rest is made in PhotoShop with filters.

I wonder how you did it. Now you told us and it sure was a great idea. Welcome to PN. Kind regards.

The most compelling thing about this image (to me) was trying to figure out what the heck it was. When I first saw the image I thought it must be a retina....but how, then I thought no it must be part of a flower...then I read how you created the image. Well planed, flawlessly executed, outstanding results.

Extraordinary photo, idea and procedure. I have always thought that man has no limit in ist creativity. And this is a good example. In one of the blogs I work in I have today an invitation to talk about the future. I have taken the liberty of using your photo, to give a glince to the days to come.

The works I have seen made me sign up and I am sure will take me back to an old passion: the view of the world through the eyes of the lenses as an extension of our own insight.

Thanks for your gifts
