Not someone I'd like to encounter in my size :-)

I like bugs but this one freaked me out once I saw it enlarged. The

juices on the forepaws, humongous fangs... The spider itself is

only as large as a thumbnail.

Great macro with nicely exectued depth of field and color saturation.

Good color and good sharp macro. I ussually do not like to crop out parts as in the legs but I like the perspective.

Thanks for your comments. Russell, only top and bottom portions of the shot were cropped--it is full-frame in the horizontal dimension. I was focusing on the face and when legs are incorporated, the face gets smaller. I have a few shots taken in the landscape orientation and that way I could not get the face--the wall was too close. The critter was backing off and kept on hiding itself with the left front leg.

Completely understand. Its not like these guys are posing for you. Good Shot
