miles1 0 Posted May 2, 2005 Shot in Saigon. I love the outdoor barbers there, they are in the open so do they mind being watched? Maybe yes, maybe no. Link to comment
u1664877251 0 Posted May 4, 2005 Love how you got both faces in the shot. The shot wouldnt have been nearly as effectful without the reflection in the mirror. Link to comment
simonbode 0 Posted May 4, 2005 this is really excellent, i know it s difficult to take these"barber shots"....PS: like your stuff :-) Link to comment
merlayphotography 0 Posted May 16, 2005 Another very good shot. As far as I'm concerned to improve it, I would crop 1/10 at the right and at the bottom (to put the miror in the right angle). Then, in the darkroom I would lighter the face of the barber and darken in a half circle the lower part to focus the glance on the upper left corner. Regards. Link to comment
johncrosley 1 Posted July 3, 2005 This photo illustrates the effectiveness of using the 'background' to portray your subject. The face in the mirror is actually one of twin 'subjects' of this photo; the other is the barber. So, this is a twin portrait, done in a most complex and interesting fashion. In my view it is extremely successful; a very nice photograph indeed. John (Crosley) Link to comment
