melody2 0 Posted May 2, 2005 Beautiful light, location, couple... She looks like a super model, although I would have liked a bit more light on her face, his pose is very unflattering... Link to comment
threeleaf 0 Posted May 2, 2005 thanks for your comments and ratings - Si - he is sitting on a "wee" chair - what you are seeing is the fabric streatched across between the two front legs. The purpose of the chair is to give a dramatic angle to the person sitting on it because it is very low to the ground. Link to comment
tammysphotos 0 Posted May 2, 2005 I applaud the creativity you've shown with the poses - definitely not the "traditional" bride & groom photo. They exude an air of confidence and sassiness. I'm wondering if this might be a bit more dramatic in b&w?? Link to comment
threeleaf 0 Posted May 2, 2005 thanks for taking a moment to look and to leave your encouragement. Personally I think your idea of BNW nailed it - take a look. I hereby offer the position of creative director for no pay (until the business starts kikin ass - making moolah) - long hours of shooting and image processing and lots of creative input. Of course this means you and your great hubby and those lovely kids will all have to move to Austin. Wouldn't that be so cool, putting something together with the people whose work and input you value? The only bummer of course is the georgraphy involved. Link to comment

threeleaf 0 Posted May 2, 2005 Michael - thanks for the input - I thought it would be prettier than a balck backdrop - maybe you are right. Tammy, marvelous news, Ill start clearing a spot in the garage :) Link to comment
a. a. 1 Posted May 2, 2005 Great idea. You should work on it until mastering it, since it's definitely worth it. When the background is interesting usually the subjects need to somehow draw the premier attention more than usual. For example a stronger DOF or lighter faces could help. Since you want to keep it natural, in this setting if they were turned 15-30 degree to their right and step back 3-5 feet then the lightest and most interesting area of the image would've remained bride and groom and yet you could enjoy the background. Nice work anyway. Cheers Misha Link to comment
