mui_van1 0 Posted April 27, 2005 The Spider is scared and is trying to run away. As you can see it is on the edge of its web. Link to comment
dem_photos 0 Posted April 27, 2005 Amazing detail and colors on this spider's body. I wonder if it would have been worth including more of the web to try to illustrate how this spider was trying to escape (and incidentally to move the spider away from the center of the composition a bit). maria_s. 1 Posted April 27, 2005 it looks out of focus/soft focus -- that pretty much kills it for me + a bit overexposed on the left; flipping the image right to left would make it easier on me as well. otherwise, nice composition. Link to comment
bexta 0 Posted April 30, 2005 Great macro and eye. Could be sharper, and the colours dont stand out as much as the should. Boost the contrast, and saturation, sharpen image, and see what you get. A non-flat, vibrant, sharp macro photo of a creature from a weird world. Link to comment
maurik 0 Posted May 1, 2005 I think this is really nice work. An amazingly colorful creature. I must agree that this photo would be much better if the focus was *SHARP*. The lens you used is capable of increadible sharp macro. The background is nicely out of focus. However, if possible, if you moved slightly to the right and so changed the angle, the dark spot in the background would not have interfered with the spider. Also, then it would be a little more interesting not having the spider right in the middle of the frame. I think I actually like the colors as they are (and I jsut finally calibrated my monitor.) I think too many nature/landscape/macro photos seem to rely on oversaturation in order to catch attention. Link to comment
