tholte 16,840 Posted April 26, 2005 I really believe that once you start looking real hard for a long time, the shots start coming to you. After awhile you start to say to yourself "I could'nt make this stuff up if I tried". You ever get that feeling? The striped umbrella, the graphics in the sign, the woman's face and the dark clouds in the background - you could'nt make this up if you tried. Link to comment
r 0 Posted April 26, 2005 Yes! Tim said it. 'The womans face'. The mouth. The glasses. A photo with a BANG... Link to comment
jenna_g 0 Posted April 27, 2005 I totally agree with you Tim. I couldn't make this up if I tried! I really think 2/3 of photography is seeing well. Yes the technical stuff matters, but I don't think vision can be taught. The photographers I most admire have an uncanny way of seeing things. They catch things most people would miss, or strive to come up with interesting perspectives to things everyone sees. The more time you spend looking, the more you begin to see. At least that's my story ;-) Link to comment

sprouty 0 Posted April 28, 2005 I see something like this and I really start to wonder. This person not only spent the time to create the poster but then went beyond that to wear it to express their (obviously strongly held) opinion. I'm somewhere between impressed and dumbfounded. Anyway great image. Link to comment

Mike Marcotte 50,529 Posted May 6, 2005 One of the most well balanced photographs I've seen here. This seems like award winning stuff to me. I like the illustration too. Must be for the people who don't know what a real pal is. Link to comment
