maciekda 0 Posted April 25, 2005 One day a little girl jumped trying to touch leaves on a tree. Another girl was wearing a red dress on that day, she was nearby but she didn't see the jump. A woman in orange sari was thinking about her own problems, she didn't pay any attention to the girl in the dress with flowers - she also missed her jump. The whole situation happened only once ever and it will never happen exactly in the same way again. And it all happened in front of me. a moment. that's why photography is so beautiful Link to comment
paperfenix 0 Posted April 25, 2005 Many pictures like this doesn`t need any words because that is the idea when we capture some picture. Someone said : One image have more value than one thousand of words. Tha`s the reason because if the photo is powerful, people will understand the message. Link to comment
seven 0 Posted April 26, 2005 Great timing, good picture - very rare as you say. Though you had little time to prepare it is fine technically too. Nice work. Link to comment
blago 0 Posted April 26, 2005 Nice photo. I fully agree with the RFC narrative and the following comments. From one hand, there's a lot of formalistic reasons not to like this picture. But, from the other hand, it grabs you immediately, you get emotionally trapped, and just not able to hear the weak internal voice trying to say something like "It's too busy!". I like especially the girl's legs. That's the way the legs of birds are hanging during a flight. I'd make it B/W. Regards. Blago Link to comment
johncrosley 1 Posted April 26, 2005 And this is the famous tree from which one plucks ripe, happy, well-fed children such as this new boy child hanging from one of its branches. He's almost ready to drop to the ground, well-formed and ready to play. Seriously, I agree that this photo, to show off its magic, should be converted to B & W -- it's just too busy to show off the jumping little boy. The convergence of the lines from the road into a vanishing point, blocked by the motorcycle, the shrouded feature (also a motorcycle?) and the bicycle, add to the very good composition. I agree that this is a moment dececisif, and would stare at it just for the magic of the captured point in time. Regards John (Crosley) Link to comment
