Great shot! The grains and tones are just perfect. Composition is nice too.

I'm not sure if there is two little black openings right behind the subject's head (hair) or it's her hair style.

That is the only thing that mislead the attention otherwise I like the shot a lot.

Cheers

Thanks Misha, I always appreciate your expert opinion.

You are quite right about the unfortunate placing of those two round openings which coinside with her hair. Its amazing what you miss when you look through the viewfinder, but in my defence, the Mamiya is a Rangefinder!

Fond regards, Nick.

Hello Nick, I'm going to agree with Misha, the shot is very good. Your subject looks a little tense compared with some of your other, very relaxed portrait subjects, but that makes the photograph more interesting.

Best wishes.

Thanks Pete, I thought that too!

Gaby is difficult to photograph, she is often inhibited by the lens, and this photograph was taken in public too!

I think that she did well under the circumstances, and I was very happy with the results. I agree that the resulting tension adds to the mood of the photograph.

Regards, Nick.

I like the way the fountain loops over her. Some people are more tense with cameras - my wife is terrible with cameras - freezes and looks awkward as soon as the lens cap comes off. Probably due to her father being a keen photographer!

What nice angle of the entrance, You can do that so good, I saw it before, how the Lady obviously, let You photograph her. You are able to make her part of it.

a portraitthat communicates! i think partly your direction and skill, and partly the model's personality... very interesting combination

Colin, Alix and Christos.

Thanks for your kind words and observations, often seeing the good in things where I have a tendancy to be perhaps a little too self-critical!

Fond regards, Nick.

Nicholas, the shot is good; the fountain crowning the girl is a good touch; The model, though, doesn't look relaxed, tense, I'd say.
