forrest_andrew 0 Posted April 23, 2005 would love to here some thoughts and opinions on this one. specifically, from what you can see, do you think i would of been able to achieve a better composition with a slighter wider lens, perhaps @ 20mm or 24mm (taken @ 28mm)? i am a huge fan of the 'wide- angle' look and am contemplating getting a wide-angle zoom in the range of 15-30mm. labuenaluz 0 Posted April 23, 2005 I like the composition of the photo, dont really know if a wider lense would improve it, but for sure you will make great photos as the ones you allready have in your portfolio, keep up the good work! congrats. Link to comment
davidroossien 0 Posted May 2, 2005 You might consider mirroring the bottom so that the tip of the log points to the glow in the sky, instead of toward the darkness, though the field does lead there in a subtle way. Getting lower and closer would improve the use of the foreground element and emphasize the relationship between the foreground and sky, at the expense of the field. In this case I think getting closer and lower would improve the photo. Also consider using a reflector to give the tip of the log just a little glow/added exposure. Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted June 27, 2005 Sorry I can't give you any technical critique but just here to compliment you on a wonderful shot. Love the shadows and cool colours of the late afternoon and wishing it was a bit cooler at the moment. Link to comment
dguindon 0 Posted December 6, 2005 Nice isolation shot, very well exposed to top it off. Wider isn't always better in all cases, I've yet to purchase anything wider than 24mm...works for me. A flash might have helped the dark wood though. Link to comment
