Great idea. I personnaly believe the exposure could be better: image could be sharper, the blown-out highlights on the hands are distracting, and the yellow cast on the background is annoying. 4/7.

Thanks for your honest comment. You may be right about the highlights on the hands. The background is the colour you see it here though.

 

To be honest with you, I was concentrating on the girl's skin tones and not the male model. I hope you would agree that this was far more important.

Excellent idea here, really funny and original. I would have preferred more subtle litghning, some color correction and more definition, though. Keep on it, the idea really deserves the work.

Nestor, thank for your comment. Some of your points are valid. There is just a touch too much yellow in this and has been corrected for the print. I honestly don't know about the definition. It looks fine on the full size TIF but I agree this looks a little less sharp.

The lighting is something I get a lot of complaints about. However, I believe that dramatising the lighting would have taken away from the humour. (My belief anyway!)

Perhaps if the gentleman had been wearing a red shirt we may have dispensed with the highlights near o the edge of the image.Another thing of note is that whenever I was being photographed my mother always told me to make sure I had combed by hair. Whether it is a fun pic or serious the fact is that it sharp and well exposed.

I can assure you Danny, the male person in this photo is not a gentleman.

 

I can also assure you, the picture was just for fun.

Finally a neck tie that would be worth getting into.

David- I did not intend to offend you with my comments but more to make comparison of the two contrasting elements in the image. A thousand pardons to the models/subjects. I find your work very innovative and often in your face (no pun intended) with regards to challenging the viewers sensibilities. By all means keep up the fine work you have begun. Negative responses to your imagery means you are reaching people in any event. I am definitely a fan of provoking people into a response. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I can just imagine the giggling this day. It is difficult to compose a tight shot when your are in it, I must agree. BTW - had the hands been young & heavily tanned the photo wouldn't have been as much fun. I have a gentleman (a term i'm using loosely!) friend that insists that we do lunch where he knows he'll make his colleagues jealous & confused by seeing us together. He's always asking if we can take photos like this. I swear it's more fun for me than it is him.

Composing the shot was difficult... however, the retakes were just as much fun.
